First 100 days in office: EBS University Management takes an initial stock
After the first 100 days in office, the university management takes stock.
About three months ago, Günther H. Oettinger as President and Prof. Dr. Martin Böhm as Rector were inaugurated at a festive ceremony. Together with Dr. Dorothée Hofer, the acting Managing Director, they now form the management trio of EBS Universität.
Thereby, the management trio especially has its sights set on “clearly positioning EBS as a European champion”, as Prof. Dr. Martin Böhm states.”With excellent quality, we are increasingly aligning ourselves internationally, both in terms of our partners, our lecturers, and our students. In short, ‘E’ means European and that must also be the benchmark for EBS, for the Law School and the Business School, for all our activities,” agrees Günther H. Oettinger. Dr. Dorothée Hofer explains another point: “We also want to bring our two schools closer together on the campus in Oestrich-Winkel.” After 1.5 years, the first construction phase was completed in September of this year with the opening of the new “Forum” in the inner courtyard of the castle. The second phase of construction will take place from January 2022 and includes the renovation of the annex building and the construction of a multifunctional building. “We want to create spaces for people to meet, but of course we also want to look very closely at what the spaces of the future will look like,” adds Dr. Dorothée Hofer. Innovation is just as much an objective in teaching, as Prof. Dr. Martin Böhm adds in conclusion: “In addition, over the coming months and years, we will tackle the programs and teaching in order to set standards here in the European field.”
