Cooperation agreement between R+V Versicherung and EBS Universität
R+V Versicherung and EBS University have signed a cooperation agreement to intensify the link between science and practice.
EBS students will be given the opportunity to gain insights into the legal departments of the Wiesbaden-based insurance company and to enter the company directly through internships, student jobs or a traineeship.
The cooperation between R+V Versicherung and EBS Universität is an important milestone. It opens up a wide range of opportunities for students to work in a large company in the immediate vicinity while studying law. On the other hand, R+V has continuously increased the number of employees in recent years and offers many opportunities for direct entry into the profession,' says R+V HR Director Julia Merkel about the cooperation agreement.
In our legal departments at R+V, we offer a wide range of opportunities for students. In Group Law, for example, our lawyers deal with corporate law, labour law, investment law, IT and data protection, and we can offer insights into personnel law and legal advice for the sales department. The students have the opportunity to apply what they have learned during their studies directly in practice at R+V," adds Dr Andreas Hasse, Head of R+V Group Legal.
In addition, R+V will use the cooperation agreement to supervise interns from the EBS Law School in its legal departments, so that they can complete their practical studies in the legal departments of the insurance company. In addition to closer cooperation between R+V and EBS, the two companies will also take advantage of their proximity to each other in Wiesbaden. Contacts between students at EBS Law School and R+V will also be further expanded through joint formats such as events and guest lectures.
Professor Dr Michael Nietsch, Chair of Civil Law, Corporate Law and Capital Markets Law and Head of the Centre for Corporate Compliance at EBS Law School in Wiesbaden, will oversee the cooperation on the part of EBS. Prof Nietsch is particularly looking forward to working with R+V HR Director Julia Merkel and Dr Andreas Hasse, Head of the R+V Group Legal Department, as well as Nadja Sauerwein, Head of Talent Management at R+V Versicherungen. He emphasised the importance of the cooperation for practical legal training and the partner network of the EBS Law School. R+V also supports research in the areas of sustainability law and compliance.
