Curriculum Vitae

Matthias Waldkirch’s research interests center around human relations, corporate entrepreneurship and innovation as well as strategic leadership within the context of family-owned firms. His research mostly builds on qualitative, longitudinal approaches as well as multi-case studies. He holds a Bachelor degree in International Business Administration from European University Viadrina, Germany, and a Master degree in Managing in a Global Context from Jönköping International Business School, Sweden. He holds a PhD in business administration from Jönköping International Business School, where he was affiliated to the Centre for Family Enterprise and Ownership (CeFEO).

Matthias Waldkirch serves on the editorial board of Journal of Family Business Strategy and is an active reviewer for several high-ranked journals. His research was presented at leading international conferences and, among others, published in the Human Resource Management Review and Journal of Family Business Strategy. During the past years, Matthias has been a visiting researcher at the Scandinavian Consortium for Organizational Research at Stanford University, USA, at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico, and at Texas A&M University, USA. His teaching focuses mostly on entrepreneurship and innovation as well as innovation and family firms.
