Curriculum Vitae
Laura Turrini is Associate Professor of Operations Management at the EBS Business School in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany, where she has been teaching Operation and Supply Chain Management, Humanitarian Operations and Mathematics at different levels. Laura’s major research topics include humanitarian operations, supply chain management and logistics, and sustainability. Her work has been published in the Journal of Operations Management, the European Journal of the Operational Research and Omega.
She is an active member of the Humanitarian Operations and Crisis Management (HOCM) College at POMS, where she served also as Secretary in the past, of Riloha (Research Institute on Leadership & Operations in Humanitarian Aid) and of the European community of Humanitarian Operations.
Laura’s academic achievements include the best paper award in the Humanitarian Operations and Crisis Management track of the 26th annual POMS conference, received with her research paper on the drivers of humanitarian donations, and the prestigious INDAM scholarship, won during her Master studies in Mathematics.
She holds a doctoral degree in Business Administration (KLU and Universität Hamburg), obtained with a thesis on sustainable supply chains, and a MSC and Bachelor in Mathematics (Università degli Studi di Milano).
