The future cannot be changed with tables, figures and rules alone. The Master in Management provides intensive training in strategic thinking and problem-solving skills – all with a global mindset. You will broaden your horizons and develop your personality. Because only personalities who inspire people to change can make a difference in the world of tomorrow.
Knowledge without values has no value.
We know just how important it is, especially in business management, to work with diverse stakeholders - meaning empathy and values make the decisive difference. They shape future leaders who drive operations forward and enthrall others. We teach our values of courage, responsibility, consideration and backbone in our courses and in our Coaching & Leadership Hub.
Challenge-based learning.
Throughout your study programme, the EBS didactic concept of challenge-based learning provides insights into working practice. In close cooperation with partner companies, you learn about the topics that are essential for future leaders, based on real-life cases. In Real Business Challenges, you develop solutions and ideas, which you then present to the Management Board. In this way, you gain an understanding of the challenges of corporate governance.
Focus on you: personal development and state-of-the-art knowledge.
The trends of technology/digitalization and ESG are an integral part of our programme. In addition, in Professional Development Workshops, you learn important skills that you will later need in practice as a manager.

Once EBS, always EBS.
Our goal to impart knowledge and values has proved successful. This is underpinned by a strong network of over 12,000 alumni, many of whom work in top business positions. The Alumni Association is always there to support you during and after your studies. As you can see: we are a huge family.
Almost every course involved a project with a company. I fondly remember the great L'Oréal competition, where we had to design the go-to-market approach for the launch of a new product with a team of three students.
The degree programme comprises four semesters (120 ECTS) and integrates intensive cooperation with companies into most courses, in which students work on practice-related projects supervised and coached by our faculty members. In the first semester, in addition to the practical Onboarding Project, the strategic, economic and financial foundations are laid in core modules. The second semester offers you the opportunity to specialise in elective modules and to enhance your practical experience through a five-week internship and the Consulting Field Project, in which you work on a practical business challenge in an international team.
You can organise the last two semesters entirely according to your needs: either through a stay abroad at one of our partner universities (Semester Abroad Track) or through an internship in a company (Practice Track). The last part of the programme is dedicated to your final thesis. With an additional semester abroad in the Semester Abroad Track, you also have the option of obtaining a double degree.
With the Accelerated Track, you have the opportunity to shorten the duration of your studies and complete your master's degree programme in two semesters (60 ECTS). The prerequisite for this is a bachelor's degree with 240 ECTS credits or, in the case of a degree with fewer than 240 ECTS credits, corresponding professional experience. Further information can be found in the admission requirements.
During your studies, you will acquire key competences for your future job through Professional Development Workshops and will be prepared for a career as a leadership personality thanks to individual coaching from the EBS Coaching & Leadership Hub. In addition, you will have the opportunity to further develop your international language skills through foreign language courses at the EBS Language Centre.
The study programme is divided into different units. The basic modules prepare you for your future project activities, while you develop your leadership skills systematically. In the elective modules, you deal with the essential issues of executive management. Project work with real-life cases allows you to consolidate your newly acquired expertise and grow as a leader.
Core modules:
Strategic management
Managerial accounting, finance and economics
Managing people, operations and society
Elective modules:
Corporate and contemporary international strategy for the digital age
Strategy and organisations
Managing innovations
Sustainable business strategy
Marketing management
Professional and future development workshops:

Every person is different: numerous ways to complete a master's degree at EBS
We have designed the master's programmes to be flexible. Depending on your level of knowledge, skills and goals, you can take the path in your studies that best suits you and your life circumstances.
Semester Abroad Track (120 ECTS)
With the Semester Abroad Track, you gain experience abroad and prepare yourself for an international career. This track comprises the first two semesters at EBS and the third semester abroad at one of our partner universities, and concludes in the fourth semester with your thesis.
Practice Track (120 ECTS)
Have you already gained sufficient experience abroad? Then the Practice Track offers you the chance to focus on your practical experience. This track comprises the first two semesters at EBS, followed by one semester for internships and one semester for your thesis. The long and intensive internships can be completed either in the third or fourth semester. The remaining semester is dedicated to your thesis, which may be assigned by a company.
Accelerated Track (60 ECTS)
Accelerate your career. The Accelerated Track gives you the opportunity to shorten the duration of your studies to two semesters. The prerequisite for this track is a bachelor's degree with 240 ECTS or corresponding professional experience for a degree with less than 240 ECTS. Further information can be found in the admission requirements.
Double degree
In addition to your degree at EBS Universität, you can obtain a second international degree (MBA or Master). Extend your studies abroad at one of our partner universities by one semester in the Semester Abroad Track and receive a double degree. This will give you more specialised knowledge in a broader international context and increase your international market value.
The Master in Management places a strong focus on practice. The Consulting Field Project in particular offers students the opportunity to apply their specialist knowledge in a business cooperation. Below you will find three examples of Consulting Field Projects from recent years:
The Würth Group is the global market leader in the development, manufacture and distribution of assembly and fastening materials, and achieved a turnover of 20.4 billion euros in 2023. As a traditional and equally innovative family business, Würth is not only an important player in the global industry, but also a long-term employer for its more than 87,000 employees. In the face of constant change in the retail sector and advancing digitalisation, Würth is also faced with the challenge of meeting the requirements of an omnichannel business model and maximising the strategic use of big data. The focus here is on the individual customer: each customer has their Würth. In this context, a practical workshop was organised with MBA students from EBS Universität in cooperation with Würth on the topic of "Omnichannel and Big Data". The students had the opportunity to put their theoretical knowledge of marketing, sales, and big data directly into practice. They were in close dialogue with Würth employees, who led the workshop on-site and presented their practical problem to the MBA students. In front of an expert Würth jury, the students presented their findings on key topics such as measuring project success in an omnichannel organisation, the important role of customer touchpoints in the omnichannel context, the evolutionary adaptation of the sales role in the face of artificial intelligence, and effective change management in the context of big data system implementations for omnichannel applications. This close collaboration between EBS Universität and Würth enabled students to not only gain valuable insights into current business trends but also to gain practical experience that will prepare them for their future careers.
KUKA is a leading global provider of robotics solutions, developing innovative robots and automation technologies for various industries including automotive, aerospace and logistics. With an annual revenue of approximately $3.5 billion US dollars, KUKA continues to push the boundaries of robotics technology and automation systems worldwide. As part of a practical case study, the students worked in small groups to develop future-oriented use cases and customer journeys for the innovative KUKA Cobots. This takes place within a few weeks with the close support of experienced KUKA professionals and iterative coaching sessions with EBS professors and lecturers. The students presented their results to the practice partners and then received qualified feedback on their proposed solutions. The winning team visited KUKA on-site in Augsburg.
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) is a renowned global consulting and auditing firm, assisting companies in areas such as tax advisory, auditing, management consulting and technology to achieve their business objectives and tackle challenges. With an annual revenue exceeding $42 billion US dollars, PwC is recognised for its expertise in providing comprehensive business solutions and strategic guidance to clients across diverse sectors. PwC is a popular employer for EBS graduates, and the practical project enables students to gain an early insight into the company and establish potential contacts.

Turning managers into leaders

Many possibilities - one language
At EBS Universität, you will study at an international level and in an international environment. That's why all lectures and events are, of course, held in English.
It could hardly be more international
International professors and lecturers, study groups with high diversity or an integrated stay abroad are without question the best preparation for a career in international top management.
Get to know the lecturers
EBS Universität is one of the leading business universities in Germany, but we are not satisfied with that: our professors aim to make the faculty of business administration a leading management-focused business school in Europe. In the master's programme, professors with many years of practical experience as well as internationally renowned researchers teach. They all work together to shape leaders for the future.
Our faculty is supported by members of the adjunct faculty. You will be taught by experts who hold top positions in business or are active in leading companies. These include:
AACSB accreditation
AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) is a global not-for-profit organisation that brings together educators, students and businesses to achieve a common goal: to educate the next generation of leaders. Since 1916, AACSB has stood for the highest standards of quality, providing quality assurance, business education information, and learning and development services worldwide.
Wissenschaftsrat
In 2022, EBS Universität was reaccredited by Wissenschaftsrat, the German Council of Science and Humanities, for the next 5 years.
This academic seal of quality is awarded to non-governmental universities whose performance in teaching and research meets recognised scientific standards. The period of accreditation by the Wissenschaftsrat is for a maximum of ten years, depending on the outcome of the review process. The Wissenschaftsrat is one of Germany’s most critical science policy advisory bodies and advises the federal and state governments on developing universities, science and research. In the multi-stage accreditation procedure, which includes the submission of a self-report by the university and a visit to the university by an external group of experts over several days, the university is evaluated in eight key areas. These include its academic quality in research and teaching, its structures and equipment, and its quality assurance and development.
Stiftung Akkreditierungsrat
All study programmes at EBS Universität are accredited by the Accreditation Council and are reviewed regularly in cooperation with the accreditation agency FIBAA.
The superordinate Foundation Akkreditierungsrat is an association of the German federal states aiming for quality assurance in learning and teaching at German universities. Since 2018, following the conversion of the German accreditation process, the Akkreditierungsrat has focused on the decision of accreditations. These are based on reviews of the accreditation agencies on programme accreditations as well as system accreditations. Thus, the Akkreditierungsrat plays an essential role in the final evaluation of the respective study programme. The Accreditation Council only accepts expert reports from accreditation agencies that have the EQAR registration of the Accreditation Council. The degree programmes at EBS Universität have been assessed by FIBAA, which is notably recognised in business and economics.
For a successful career as a manager in a leadership position, you need broad business management knowledge and a strong personality. Good insight into human nature and leadership qualities are just as important as interdisciplinary thinking or a very good mathematical mindset.
