29.11.2023

EBS Universität has elected a new University Council. The new member is the former Hessian Minister President Volker Bouffier (CDU).

Volker Bouffier will join the ten-member EBS Universität Council for the next three years with immediate effect. "EBS Universität is Germany's oldest private business university and is based in Oestrich-Winkel and Wiesbaden. With its excellent academic programmes, it is on the right track. I am happy to contribute my experience as a former head of government to the University Council for the further development of EBS," said Bouffier about his new position.
"In Volker Bouffier, we are gaining a personality who has rendered outstanding services to Hesse and has excellent political and economic connections," said Prof Dr Christof Hettich, Chairman of the SRH Board of Directors. "I am certain that our EBS Universität and therefore also our students will benefit from this."
EBS President Günther H. Oettinger also echoed this sentiment after the election: "I am very much looking forward to working with the new University Council and to the gain in experience and expertise provided by Volker Bouffier."
