Habilitation at EBS Business School

The Habilitation – a post-doctoral degree – is the highest university degree that can be awarded in Germany. At EBS University, it serves to determine the ability to independently represent a specialist field of business studies and economics in research and teaching.

The habilitation is based primarily on the candidate’s proven research achievements. He or she must also prove that he or she is qualified for an international scientific career and demonstrate good skills in the specialist field of teaching. During the Habilitation the candidate works together with a mentor and joins actively the academic life (both research and teaching) at EBS Business School.
